Comments
Plants of Ariocarpus fissuratus from
Cuatrocienagas are typical of what was described by Backeberg as
A. intermedius, the plants are larger than the more
northerly form, but do not achieve the sizes achieved still further
south, where this form is replaced by the larger, smoother
''lloydii' type plant.
