Comments
Plants of A. scaphirostris from this area
have been known in Europe under the nomina nuda var. minima, these plants
do not appear to be significantly different to the larger plants growing
in other parts of the valley, and their smaller size appears to be merely
a function of the very harsh conditions of their habitat, despite the
extreme nature of this habitat many plants occur here virtually invisible
in the friable limestone shale favored by the species.
