This was an opportunistic find answering a call of nature after a long, unsuccessful drive to find A. fissuratus west of this location!!  Nighttime was rapidly falling and that has taken its toll on the photographic quality.  The plant is a sharply pointed tubercled ‘furfuraceus’ type and grows on low limestone slopes.  We need to revisit this population to gain more information and obtain better photos!
