Ariocarpus fissuratus,
growing amongst large pieces of limestone.
Ariocarpus
fissuratus, at Mariscal Mountain.
Comments
On the south west foothills of Mariscal
Mountain the plants grow mostly burried on a basal bed of orange-brown
limestone chips in the company of an interesting orange spined form
of Echinomastus warnockii and Echinocreus species.
Plants are mostly small about 4-5cm in diameter with well defined
lateral grooves.
