Ariocarpus retusus LRM175

Growing only 10km from A. trigonus in Tamaulipas, this is the most easterly site of A. retusus that we are aware of. Plants are very varied in appearance but all lack a terminal areole. It is possible that the plants here represent a merging of the 2 subspecies or maybe some natural hybridisation has occurred.
