Ariocarpus retusus LRM69

Near San Roberto this species is highly variable but most of specimens correspond to what would at one time have been described as A. furfuraceus.  They occur at all levels on moderately low limestone hills, where, in some places, large clumps and many individual plants literally carpet the ground.
