The plants at Las Tablas, SLP despite the proximity to the Rio Verde are quite different in appearance, the habitat also differs, plants occurring on quite steep slopes, as opposed to the low hills favoured by the 'scapharosatroides' plants. A notable feature of many of plants here is the very elongated areole.
