Ariocarpus scaphirostris LRM324

This plant grows on barren limestone shale hills a few kilometres to the west of Rayones at El Barreal, NL.  This is the plant which has been distributed in cultivation as variety 'minimus’.  This splitting is quite unjustified.  The plants are generally smaller than those at Rayones but this is simply a function of greater hardship at this location.
