These plants which are the closest population we have found to Vista Hermosa are not on average as large as the nearby population LRM123, possibly because of collecting and nearby building development, which poses a considerable threat to this colony.  The plants are however regenerating well with many seedling and smaller plants in evidence. The plants were found growing on flat or gently sloping stony ground adjacent to (and on!) a dirt road.
